Shooting the Kel-Tec Sub 2000 with Laser Sight:

Today I test fired the Kel-Tec Sub 2000 with with our newest available accessory the Sub 2000 Laser Sight I was very impressed with it's performance so I figured I would blog about it.

The Sub 2000 Laser Sight is very easy to use and bolts right on to the picatinny rail of the gun. It's made of light weight aluminum so it adds very little weight to the overall weight of the gun. The Laser is perfect for when you want to hit targets dead on and because it's a visual sight you don't need to look through the standard sights of the sub 2000 to hit your target. Just position the red dot where you want the bullet to go and squeeze. Perfect for those who want to bump fire the rifle (scarface style. lol ). The Laser is powered by 3 watch sized batteries and has a constant on and off switch.

Shooting with the Laser: My first shots were at 15 yards and it was dead on, as you can see from the image below I damn near drew a line across the targets mouth:

Next I decided to push it back to 25 yards to see how it did at body shots. Looking good. The red dot was still visible. Again I was impressed. Fired it bump fire style and still hit the body of the target in the upper chest and mid-section. Check it out:

Then I pushed the target back to the end of range at 50 yards and for confirmation purposes I pasted on my Shoot N C target to the mid section to see if I could hit it at 50 yards. Shoot N C targets come in handy at these distances simple because they give visual conformation of shot placement. When the bullet hits the target the connect zone turns to a bright yellow color. I shot the sub 2000 this time around from a make shift bench rest and this time i missed 2 shots out of a 15 round .40 glock mag but i was able to make the other 13 shots connect:

The laser made the sub 2000 so much more fun to shoot and it does not affect it's ability to be concealed as it's not too bulky. I ran like 300 rounds of .40 range ammo through it that day and had the Laser on for over an hour and the beam never faltered

Thanks for reading this. Share your thoughts below:

IMPORTANT: Requires the Picatinny Rail to be attached to to the sub 2000
